Middle School

Enrollment and Size

Over 60 students are enrolled in our middle school. We currently have two 6th and 8th grade classes and one 7th grade class. The maximum number of students per class is 20.

Educational Program

Students in middle school have seven 46-minute periods per day. The core courses include Bible, Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, and Science. Electives are also offered in Art, Video Production, Life Skills, Drama, PE, and Yearbook. All students take Intro to Chinese and 7th/8th graders are enrolled in Speech. Responsibility, organization, and character education are reinforced across subjects.

Our 1:1 iPad program begins in 7th grade. iPads are utilized daily in all classes and integrated into the curriculum, preparing students to become 21st century learners.

Student Life

Service and leadership roles are stressed in middle school, where students have opportunities to interact with lower grades. Students transition to being more independent and serving our school and community. A Christmas concert culminates the first half of the year, while Spirit Week, Spring Concert, and the 8th grade Drama production close out the school year.

In September, students have the opportunity to experience Camp Erdman’s leadership education program. Their 3 days and 2 nights are highlighted by outdoor activities and challenges as well as a spiritual dimension of worship, message, and sharing time in a small group.
