Key Biblical Truths We Believe

Kaimuki Christian Church is a non-denominational fellowship of believers in The Lord Jesus Christ. We do not claim to be the only Christians but choose to be Christians only. It is our faith in Christ which makes us children of God and unites us in His family.

In any family, there are differences in opinion. These differences in areas of opinion challenge us to study more diligently, but should not be allowed to foster division. Rather, we must love one another as our Lord has commanded us to (John 13:34,35). Our unity will be a witness to the world that Jesus is the Son of God (John 17:21). We express these principles in the motto:

In Faith, Unity

In Opinions, Liberty

In all Things, Love

Our unity is found in the essential truths of the faith, held by the church down through history. These truths are the non-negotiable fabric which tie us to the roots of our faith. We will never surrender these principles as they form the foundation of faith. We have expressed these bedrock truths in the following statements:

  1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, serving as our rule of faith (what we believe) and practice (how we live).
  2. We believe that there is one God who through eternity has revealed Himself as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  3. We believe that Jesus Christ is God come in human form to live a sinless life to satisfy the demands of the Law, that He died on the cross to pay for the sins of men, and rose from the dead in a glorified body proclaiming His victory over death.
  4. We believe that man is lost and spiritually dead because of his sin, that he needs to be born again spiritually by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and restored to fellowship with God.
  5. We believe that God's Holy Spirit dwells within each believer as a seal of God's ownership and provides power to live a life that is pleasing to God.
  6. We believe that the Church is comprised of believers around the world who have been born again through faith in Jesus Christ and who find their unity in Him.
  7. We believe that Jesus Christ will return to claim those who belong to Him and that He calls us to be faithful servants as we await His glorious return.
