New Student Leaders Elected

September 26, 2014
By KCS Staff
Congratulations to this year’s 2014-15 Student Council officers.

Students in 1st to 11th grade gathered in the Worship Center on Tuesday to listen to speeches from our 2014-15 candidates for Student Council Officer positions.  A number of students submitted applications for the four positions.  After candidates presented their speeches, explaining their qualifications and ideas for serving their school community, students and staff had their chance to vote.

The votes have been counted, and we are pleased to present Treasurer Samuel Stone (Gr. 10), Secretary Charis Ahn (Gr. 11),  Vice-President Kylie Umebayashi (Gr. 11), and President Kanoe Fisher (Gr. 11) as our student leaders.  Advisor Mrs. Trapasso looks forward to working with this group.  She said, “The officers elected have great energy and should be wonderful leaders in fulfilling the mission of serving our ‘ohana and local community.”

As a service oriented group, the Student Council will be leading the student body in various projects throughout the year.  They look forward to collecting recyclables on October 2 and organizing a drive to collect hygiene products for the River of Life ministry next month.
