On Tuesday afternoon, the 7th/8th grade Drama elective class walked over to Diamond Head Theatre for a special tour of the historic theatre.  DHT, which celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, stands as the third oldest community theatre in the US.

Artistic Director John Rampage hosted the group, fielding questions, telling stories, and giving a behind-the-scenes look at the theatre. Students walked through the wings, set and costume shops, and rehearsal room. Mr. Rampage also shared the intricacies of working on three shows at once, so DHT can produce their full slate of six performances per year. He also explained how the audition and selection process works for those interested in roles.  It was a great learning experience for the students!
