Historic Trip for High School Students

March 10, 2017
By KCS Staff

As one of the first groups to tour the White House under President Trump’s administration, students on the Washington, D.C. trip garnered local and national media coverage earlier this month.  On March 2-10, American history came to life for the group comprised of 18 freshmen and sophomores.  They toured some of the country’s most important national parks, museums, and monuments.  Senator Mazie Hirono’s office hosted the group during their tour of the Capitol, and students enjoyed a “talk story” session with Senator Hirono.
