From March 21-24, swimmer Gabby Holm (Gr. 8) competed in the South West Age Group Regionals held in Roseville, California, helping the girls on her team secure a 13th place rank out of the 51 teams that competed at the meet. Gabby qualified to swim in four events: 200 breaststroke, 100 breaststroke, 200 individual medley, and 100 freestyle. She medaled in the 200 breaststroke, as her time earned her a spot in the finals for that event.

Gabby started swimming from the age of seven and began competing at eight-years-old. She credits KCS alum and Pac-Five swim coach Chris Ma ('07, 8th grade) as her mentor. He has encouraged and inspired her throughout her journey as a swimmer.

The competitive level of swimming and the different environment of the Roseville meet provided Gabby with a valuable learning experience from which to build upon. She looks forward to competing in the State Championships this summer on Maui. Way to go, Gabby!
