The KCS Girls’ Basketball team wrapped up their season during an exciting weekend of post-season play.

Seeded #3 for the tournament, the girls faced #2 Koolau Baptist Academy (KBA) on Friday night. Despite KCS leading 23-16 at halftime, KBA pulled ahead and won 47-33 to advance to the championship game.
KCS bounced back on Saturday as the girls led the majority of the consolation game against Friendship Christian School (FCS).  KCS’ 38-30 win sealed their 3rd place finish in the Hawaii Sports Fellowship league.  This marks the highest finish for the girls’ basketball team since KCS joined the league in 2012.
Senior Charis Ahn, a 4-year player, reflected that the team had “good team chemistry” this season.  With a mix of younger and older grades, new and experienced players, the team was able to play well together and find a consistent starting five.  Charis was happy to “end the season on a high note.”
The girls’ team looks to build on the success of this year in upcoming seasons!
