Congratulations, Class of 2017!

On May 24, two young men, draped in maile lei, were honored as the KCS graduating class of 2017. It was a night filled with much sincerity, humor, and wisdom, as the guest speakers recalled memories from the past and looked expectantly to God’s plans in the future (Jeremiah 29:11). With many self-deprecating anecdotes, Salutatorian Paul Lee reflected on how he and classmate Sam Stone had grown over the past six years, thanks to their patient parents and teachers. During his commencement address, Principal Mark Gallagher challenged the graduates with a top ten list of how they could be successful during their freshmen year in college, with practical advice ranging from “floss regularly” to “find Christian fellowship.”

As a class gift, Paul and Sam have blessed the campus with two ceramic planters, which will grace the main office entrance of the Clarence T.C. Ching building and remind us of this very special, second graduating class of KCS. We truly wish them the best as they continue their education at University of Portland and Azusa Pacific University!
