Summer at KCS

Enrollment for the 2026 Summer Session has closed.

KCS offers an enriching six-week summer program for students entering Preschool to Grade 8. Students from other schools are welcome to enroll. Students may enroll by parts: Part I - Summer School (8 to 11:30 am), Part II - Summer Fun (11:30 to 3:30 pm), and Part III - Extended Care (3:30 to 5:30 pm).

Interested families may request a paper enrollment packet or call the KCS office at 808-732-1781. Students who attended our program the previous summer will automatically receive an enrollment packet. Please submit your enrollment by April 10.

Part I: Summer School (8 - 11:30 am)

Preschool (P2) - Limited to students enrolled for the 2026-27 school year

Children experience a fun, loving, and energetic environment for young minds to grow. As they are developmentally ready, children will be toilet training. Students must be at least 2-years-old by June 8.

Preschool (P3 & P4) - Limited to current KCS students or students enrolled for the 2026-27 school year

Students learn through exploration, hands-on activities, and intentional play to develop fine and gross motor skills. They will experience engaging morning activities along with excursions for P4. Self-help and communication skills are taught and reinforced daily.

Kindergarten (rising kindergarten students)

Students learn through exploration, hands-on activities, and intentional play to develop fine and gross motor skills. They will experience engaging morning activities along with excursions. Self-help and communication skills are taught and reinforced daily.

Elementary (rising 1st - 5th graders)

Keep your child’s academic skills sharp over the summer to give them a boost for the upcoming school year! Experience exploration learning through reading, phonics, language arts, and math.

Middle School (rising 6th - 8th graders)

Required for new students entering KCS middle school in the Fall. Focus on reading, writing, and math, providing a strong foundation for middle school.

Lunch (11:30 am - 12 pm)

Provide home lunch or purchase lunch through Sodexo for the six-week program. An order form will be available in mid-May. Students not enrolled in Part II must be picked up by noon or a late fee is assessed.

Part II: Summer Fun (11:30 am - 3:30 pm)

Preschool and Kindergarten (11:30 am - 2:15 pm)

Students will enjoy lunch and learn how to clean-up and prepare themselves for an afternoon time of rest and nap. *Part II not available for P2 students.

Elementary (Grades 1 to 5)

There’s something for everyone! Select three out of four exciting activity tracks*.
*Space is limited for activity tracks. Students are placed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Middle School (Grades 6 to 8)

Adventure awaits as students enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities, from hiking and beach excursions to sports and community service projects! Students should be able to swim 25 yards unassisted.

Part III: Extended Care (3:30 - 5:30 pm)

Extended care until pick-up is available for those enrolled in Part II (Summer Fun). Occasional Care for Part III is also available for $27/afternoon/child. *Part III is not available for P2 students.
