Serving KCS since the fall of 2013, Sodexo has provided nutritious hot lunches for our students. Students may enroll for meal service on a month-to-month basis. Lunches include an entrée, starch, fruit, vegetable, and milk (or bottled water). Cost per lunch is $6.00 for Preschool to Grade 2, $6.25 for Grades 3 to 5, and $6.75 for Grades 6 and up.
Sodexo's meals focus on scratch cooking, serving reduced salt and fat options, lean protein, whole grains, and fresh fruits & vegetables. Their food program highlights their commitment to using Local First Products whenever possible. Currently, 30% of their daily produce is local, and Sodexo strives to increase that percentage by working with farmers and local partners.
